This page explains how to request deletion of your personal data from Post2Share, including data collected through Facebook and Instagram login. You can delete your data at any time — no questions asked.

1 How to Delete Your Data

You have two ways to delete your Post2Share data:

Log into your account and use the built-in Privacy & Data settings to permanently delete your data instantly.

Send us an email with your registered email address and we will delete your data within 30 days.

2 Step-by-Step: Delete via App

Log in to Post2Share

Go to app.post2share.com and sign in with your account.

Go to Settings

Click Settings in the left sidebar navigation.

Open Privacy & Data

Click Privacy & Data tab in the Settings menu — the last item in the sidebar.

Select data categories

Choose what to delete: Posts & Media, Connected Accounts, Campaigns, Analytics Data, AI Generation History, or My Account. Select "Select everything" to delete all 6 categories at once.

Confirm deletion

Type DELETE MY DATA in the confirmation field and click "Permanently Delete". This action cannot be undone.

3 What Gets Deleted

The following data categories can be permanently deleted:

Posts & Media All published, scheduled, and draft posts including uploaded media files Permanently deleted
Connected Accounts All linked social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Threads, Pinterest) and their access tokens Permanently deleted
Campaigns All campaigns and associated post groupings Permanently deleted
Analytics Data All performance metrics, engagement history, and follower data Permanently deleted
AI Generation History All AI-generated images and videos created in your workspace Permanently deleted
My Account Your profile, settings, workspace, team members, and entire account Permanently deleted
Billing Records Invoice and transaction history required by law Retained 7 years (legal)
Aggregate Analytics Anonymized, non-identifiable usage statistics Anonymized & retained

4 Facebook & Instagram Data

When you connect your Facebook or Instagram account to Post2Share, we store:

  • Your Facebook Page access token (used only to publish posts on your behalf)
  • Your Instagram Business account ID and username
  • Your profile picture (cached in our storage)
  • Post IDs of content published through Post2Share
⚠️ Important: Deleting your Post2Share data does not delete content already published to Facebook or Instagram. Posts that have been published to those platforms remain on those platforms under your account. You must delete them directly from Facebook or Instagram.

To also revoke Post2Share's access to your Facebook/Instagram account:

Go to Facebook Settings

Visit facebook.com/settings → Apps and Websites

Find Post2Share

Look for Post2Share in the list of connected apps.

Remove access

Click Remove to revoke Post2Share's access to your Facebook and Instagram accounts.

📌 You can also disconnect accounts directly within Post2Share by going to Settings → Accounts → Disconnect without deleting your entire account.

5 Deletion Timeline

Immediately Connected account tokens are revoked. You lose access to the deleted data right away.
Within 24 hours All selected data categories are permanently removed from our active databases.
Within 30 days All data is purged from backup systems and disaster recovery snapshots.
Retained up to 7 years Billing and transaction records retained as required by Malaysian tax law (LHDN compliance).

6 Email Deletion Request

If you cannot access your account, send a deletion request to our support team:

  • Email: info@post2share.com
  • Subject: Data Deletion Request
  • Include: Your registered email address and the data you want deleted

We will confirm your request within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

📧 We may ask you to verify your identity before processing a deletion request to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.
